ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

are Spira and/or Vido playing? can't really see that on the stream...why don't they have names on their kits?

dissapointing game, i thought Grella looked awful and same with North.
We need our top guns back, we did come back in the 2nd half but lacked the quality to make a go of it

and i think im just about given up on scott mcdonald, i think he played OK tonight but thats yet another game without a goal... might be time to look at other options

Vinnie Grella was absolute shite tonight. I reckon if Jedi has a good year he will challenge grella for a starting spot if grella stays fit all year.

McDonald was immense tonight, he is struggling to find the net but he was not an out and out striker tonight. He feeds on scraps at Celtic but is asked to hold and provide for the Aussies. He is doing the job he is asked to do and there is no one else in Aus who could do it better.

Valeri is next in line imo, Jedi needs to improve his passing
however, he provides an option for dead balls, he is deadly as we all know ;)

Not neccessarily, Valeri lacks the physical precence of Grella or Jedinak which Pim seems to want in that position. He has not played Valeri there much at all.

Re-evaluation of the FIFA rankings please .......

No way, we played a second string side. With a full strength defence thats a different game.

We need that ranking to stay where it is for a couple of years to have the maximum chance of an Aussie world cup

disagree
i think valeri has had more game time than jedi, jedi has had time when other options havent been available to him... he is young and can improve his distribution, his strength is his physicality as you said and his free kick ability - still, grella is a worry... he has been consistant but his lack of first team football is very evident

Tbf I think Vinnie may have had more than football on his mind after recent events.

Probably should've stayed home with his family and gave this one a miss. :-\

our back line were very shaky, with their speed
a shocker of an error created the first soft goal,
second goal=soft, 3rd goal = soft (and unlucky, good reflex from schwarz)
i see what the fuss about carle is about, for a second (or 3rd ) string side
i thought it was a solid effort, we had alot of possession, granted couldnt capitalise on it
but if that squad has the chance to develop, it shows a greater deal of depth than i anticipated
we had. reasonable performance, bad result.

our ranking will drop, but not because of tonight, no question

Our Defence was shocking. Also if we had Kewell, Cahill and Neill and our normal back 4, we would have kicked their ass.
