Arnold ready to head over to Japans J-League
16.04.09 | Andrew Slevison
Socceroos assistant Graham Arnold says he is ready to chase a head coaching role in Japans J-League.

Arnold played in the J-League with Hiroshima Sanfrecce and is eyeing a return to the nation, this time in a coaching role.

"My contract goes until 2010, and I'll talk to Football Australia at the end of it but my goals are that I'd like to go back overseas. As a coach," he told ESPN.

"We're in Asia and the connection with Australia is very healthy and move somewhere into Japan, the premier league of Asia, that would be a nice place to start."

fantastic - his move solves australian's football two biggest problems:

1. arnold no longer ass coach of national team
2. topor-stanley to no longer bring down the standard of the a-league

here's a thing - he might actually improve quite a bit over there. there's nothing he can do on these shores at the moment, he's got to go OS and this is perfect for him.

We could all do our best by not getting onto any J-League fan's forum, and letting them know that Arnold is shite. If anyone asks, he's a good lad and we'll be sad to see him leave, OK?  ;)

I honestly believe that the best thing for us is that he goes and improves. I've got nothing personal against the bloke, I just think he could be a better manager than he is. If he goes to Japan and becomes a better manager, all good for everyone.

The man single handedly f*cked our Asian Cup campaign in 2007 (something for which I personally will never forgive him for), and not content with that, then made a laughing stock out of our Olympics campaign in 2008.  The squad he picked and the subsequent tactics he employed were nothing short of insulting, and I think you underestimate the hatred that exists for this clown in Australian Football circles.  Not to mention his efforts with the HALaroos at this point in time are truly exposing him for the shithouse manager that he is.

Better and wiser people than me will no doubt take great pleasure in reminding you of his NSL exploits as well.

Some people just have it, some don't.  Mr. Arnold does not.

If he takes Holman with him on a one way trip he'll have done one good thing in his life at least.....

Dont forget that he has next to no respect from a lot of the Euro pro's who seemed not to want to play for him in '07.

Then he came out and actually accused them of it.

Arnold is one of those ex-players those along with Kosmina, Foster and a few others who- as others have pointed out previously- act as if they own Australian football.

I never actually got to see/hear the Australian coverage of when Viduka was asked about that, but ESPN and Star Sports over there tore him (Arnold) a new one.....

.......and who should realise that the caravan has passed them by & to f**k off home. Add Slater & Farina to that lot too. Harper has always been a f**king joke, player or commentator.
