ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Another MRP cock-up

SYDNEY

29 December 2010

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) - consisting of Barry Such (Chair), Simon Micallef and Alan Davidson - convened to consider the following incidents from Week 20 fixture of the Hyundai A-League:

The incident involving Pedj Bojic (Central Coast Mariners) in or around the 56th minute of Central Coast Mariners’ match against Adelaide United on Sunday night. As the incident escaped the attention of referee, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident. The MRP found that Pedj Bojic had committed an offence, namely Assault on a Player (eg Violent Conduct when not challenging for the ball) and has proposed a sanction of two (2) matches which is the minimum for this offence under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations.
The Central Coast Mariners have until 5.00pm (AEDT) tomorrow, 30 December, 2010, to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.

f**k the MRP. That's twice they've f**ked us over! The ref was right there and he saw nothing wrong. Why do the MRP have to step in and be cocks about it?

Ref must be far sighted because it happened 2 meters in front of him, obviously he did see it and thought nothing of it.... play on and get f##ked MRP!

Obviously FFA don't want us to qualify and go to Asia next year so will do their best to help Melbourne or Adelaide to qualify with Brisbane, I'm guessing 1 suspension per week to semis!! That will f$&ck us won't it FFA?

I'm not terribly worried about this. Don't get me wrong - I love Pedj and the way he works with Wee-Mac.

However, just like the fact that we can't go out a buy a marquee, the constant unbalanced treatment by the MRP, just seems to add to a seige mentality i.e. 'no-one rates us - we don't care'.

f**k that, MRP are a bunch of wankers. One wouldn't begrudge their decisions if they were consistent but this stinks just as much as the Perez incident.

So is the MRP looking into the incident where PEREZ was felled from behind & the referee missed it?
Wasn`t that "assault"?

Of course, if Bojic had not been so stupid as to elbow Reid deliberately then this would not have been an issue would it? It's like complaining that speed cameras are revenue raisers when all you have to do is obey the limit and the State receives no revenue. No brainer really but, because the MRP are clearly against the Mariners and are clearly biased then this is so unfair. Boo hoo. Next time Pedj - show some discipline...

. does anyone have video of the incident?

. from memory pedj was just trying to break free as he was being held down by his arm ... was this the 'incident'?

. surely it is 'assualt' to be trying to dry hump an opponents arm on the field of play? what was the punishment for whoever it was that was holding him down

. to be fair to the ref, although he was only inches away, i don't think he had any idea where he was as he ran straight into pedj as he tried to recover. he then waved play on ... which i assume was because of the interference

Again the MRP has a member on its committee whose son was rejected for a contract with the Mariners.

. the first thing i thought of when reading the press release was 'we should have signed jason'

. no doubt he would have been too expensive for us ... anyone know how he is going in portugal (i think that's where he went)?
