Amini bound for Europe

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1048433/Amini-bound-for-Europe

Rising Central Coast Mariners star Mustafa Amini will fly to Germany next Thursday in a bid to secure a long-term deal with a European club.

The World Game understands Amini will train for up to a month with a leading Bundesliga team, rumoured to be Bayern Munich, with a view to securing a permanent move. He will use the stint to prepare for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in June.

While Amini's agent Buddy Farah denied the club is Bayern, TWG can reveal Amini will hold discussions with a second Bundesliga club, an Eredivisie team and an English Premier League club.

Farah, who will travel to Europe with the boom 17-year-old playmaker told TWG: “This is a perfect chance for Mustafa to train and prepare with quality players ahead of the Youth World Cup.

“He is still under contract for another year at Central Coast but that doesn’t mean that if a good offer doesn’t come in he wouldn’t move and further his career in Germany.

“Graham Arnold is a big fan of the young kid and believes he can go a long way in the game and he’s better off taking this opportunity then staying in Australia and training at the AIS.”

Amini and Farah will attend Australia’s friendly match against Germany on 29 March as part of his continuing football education.

Meanwhile, the Mariners have allowed Amini the opportunity to chance his arm in Europe and it is understood there is a release clause written into his contract, should the right price be agreed upon.

The club is set to announce the news of Amini’s departure on Monday.

Its great for Amini and will be a brilliant lead into the Youth world cup. If he gets an offer should be a half decent transfer fee for us.

No such thing as loyalty in this sport, just look at that kid the Yellow Fever brought through. F**k off and don't come back if that's your attitude. Just IMO.

Agree in the case of Rojas but Amini is a different story. He is going with the intention of training for the lead up to the youth world cup. Any offer he gets out of it would be bonus. Besides its not like he is doing it without approval.

I think Rojas is a special case because he was chosen by the fans to join in the squad. For the people that keep the club afloat to pick you out of a whole bunch and then walk out on them to a club in the same league (ie not a move for career advancement).

That is a huge kick in the teeth.

This is what we should be looking for as a club - find the best kids, give them a go on the big stage, if they do well they'll get a chance to move on up for the right price.

Encourages talented youngsters because they'll get a chance to shine and earns us dish rather than splurging on rubbish.

I may have been a bit grumpy when I wrote that ;)

Although, I still don't like it how the majority seem to not only accept that our best players will only be with us for a short spell while they are looking for something better overseas to go to, but encourage it!

People can bag AFL all they like and say it's only an Australian sport, Football is better because it's played all around the world and blah blah. At least in the AFL I know I'm watching the world's best Aussie Rules players and there's no chance of them nicking off overseas!

It's frustrating, but I don't really think we can expect the players to sacrifice their own career and opportunity to stay in Australia. Good luck to him - though I'll be sorry to see him go.

The difference with Rojas is he went to another A-League club which was a dog act as he's playing the same level football. If Musty gets a contract with a team in one of the biggest leagues in Europe then good on him. As a league that's 6 years old we have to accept our place in the world for the time being.

I'd much prefer to see Musti go overseas and develop his skills. At least it's not like players who opening leave one club to stay in the same league just to chase a premiership - thinking of Aloisi, Colosimo in A-League & Buckley in AFL (HAHA buckley left brisbane to pies to get premmie - bris got 3 while he was with pies and pies got one after he retired - he got zilch). Karma will always bite the players who are just chasing money/premmies.

Lawrie, confirmed on twitter today, that musti will be leaving on thursday for a trip to germany, which will include 10 days training at dortmund and will watch the socceroos play germany. He also said he has not be sold and will only be training, he will be playing out his contract at the mariners.

Don't recall this fuss when Sainsbury and Warren trained with Sheff Utd

When Warren and Sainsbury trained with Sheff they had not cracked the senior squad. Amini came on scene with a bang with all the commentators fapping about how awesome he is and what he could be.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry if this is true. A nice fee for the kid with hopefully sell on clauses attached which alleviates some of the financial pressures for the club. There is no doubt if he continues on his trajectory he will be something special.

On the other hand he would be a big loss considering Perez is gone. I reckon he would have set the ACL alight. good luck to him if this is true. Well deserved but I would loved to have seen him hand around longer.

The link talks of $ 350, 000 transfer fee..... fark that is cheap... hope there is a % of the next deal if that is the case...
