ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Alomissi strikes again!

I reckon that the majority of the red shirt brigade in the away supporters bay were locals that either:

- are supporters that SFC haven't connected with (and lets face it, there are 1000's of them)
- are football fans that think the HAL is beneath them.

If it's the latter, I hope that God's goal may just get them on board.

I just want to say that that was a sublime goal by Fowler, as good as any you will ever see. He's still got it.

Bloody long ball rubbish

For me the ugliness of the lead up play only enhances Fowler's genius - one look at goal, one touch, one-nil.

who said it was ugly play? deej was being sarcastic

fowler probably would have not had that much space if the play was a slow build up from the back

It's not pretty - a big hoof by the keeper. Mind you, no uglier than Sydney's "European style of play"

it is pretty - a lovely flick header from mcbreen and a quality strike from fowler

as i said it is unlikely that fowler would have found that much space from a slow build-up from the nack

I'd put my money on them being backpackers that heard Fowler was playing

agreeing with deej, mick, ballantyne et al - there's a time and a place for all styles of things.

fowler's goal last week was from an shortish angled ball to him in the box which he killed with a beautiful touch and the iciest finish i've seen in the HAL in a long time. the week before that he received a cross and belted it home on the volley. this week he got on the end of a long ball. all of them required the right ball - so it's not just fowler that's playing smart.

it's very hard to defend against a bloke who scores them however he likes and a team that seems to know how to use him.

Majority were liverpool supporters LIVING in sydney,
yes brennan the f troop comprised of about 6 people that night, severely out numbered, but still present.

hence why the reds supporters shook their hands saying " you came 1500 F***ing miles to a football match!, christ!"
