ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Why we didn’t start Duarte and Sculina is beyond me.

Basically 0 shots on target statistic is become the norm and we go ahead and try the same thing again.

What harm can come from changing the front line?

Chopping and changing the back I understand is more harmful than good a lot of the time but why not change 2 or 3 of the front men to change the style and even throw off our opposition.

Predictable again is an understatement.
He's been changing the team all season anyway.

Hang your heads. Where the f**k do we go from here? There will be no significant signings or shit low budget ones in the off season. Charlesworth keeping the lights on season ahead.

I've been fooled enough, always support a properly funded team no matter what but if we're not even close to the competition financially what's the point?

After 15 years kinda looking forward to getting all that time back for other hobbies. I consider myself rusted on but enough is enough I'm not going through that dark period again for no other reason than money. Sell the fkin club if you can't afford to fund it properly.

Foundation member here and not even getting recognised this season.

For anyone saying "just sell the club" — not to be a Mike apologist here, but who's actually buying? You can only sell something if there's a buyer, and I don't see people lining up to buy A-League clubs. And even if someone did, there's every chance they'd just buy the licence, move it, rebrand it, or shut CCM down completely. It's not like there's a queue of cashed-up local Mariners fans waiting to take over.

I’m worried the club is not going to last, if we spoon next year which is a real possibility given our history it will go broke and become history.

I have been living interstate for the last 6 years but have still been paying a membership to support the club. I wont be doing this next season.
This season after the last few is really hard to accept. We all know what the next few years will be like and i wont be paying to go through that again.

Don't worry, I've already bought a membership to Gold Coast Knights.

Post match Jacko blames the players and the owner's lack of investment. Him and his team who inherited our golden age are Teflon. Can't see him here next season unless Charlesworth finally sells.

I for one cannot believe that there is no one around who can afford to lose millions of dollars a year on a football club during a cost of living crisis and a global tanking of the economy. Shocked.

He recruited with Dicks money
Dick had already pulled the funding! The twat sold our best player Tulio in Jan and somehow the squad (mainly Angel, kept scoring) Tesco was the only attempt at a re-inforcement this season and he has been poor. The rest of the squad was bargain basement offcuts.
Monty is the only coach since Arnie to have been supported financially.
We were already struggling last year pre-season under Monty (maybe the squad knew he was leaving)before Jacko stepped up.
IMHO he is actually a better tactical coach than Monty but he is not as good a recruiter and is not as ruthless when players are under performing.

MC has already said on public record he's turned down offers because they weren't the right profile or he thought they'd move the club away from the coast. I can see it becoming inevitable if he maintains status quo. We've already seen what another owner can (theoretically) do, even if it was brilliantly executed in terms of timing and gutting the club to reduce his losses.
